THOMPSONS ROAD MAJOR CONSTRUCTION NEARLY COMPLETE

30 May 2019 by Dogs Victoria

More than 10km of new lanes opening 2 June
On 2 June the remaining sections of the 10.7km of new lanes between Dandenong-Frankston and Berwick-Cranbourne Road will open.

While this marks the completion of all major construction, there will still be a need to do some finishing works that will require occasional lane closures until the end of 2019.

• Mid-late 2019: Recycled timber mulch will be spread and 449,000 new plants will be planted along the new Thompsons Road.

• Late 2019: 10.7km of shared walking and cycling paths will be opened to provide better access to public facilities and major transport hubs.

• Early-mid 2020: New traffic lights at the intersection of Dandenong-Frankston Road and Thompsons Road will be opened to replace the roundabout.
